Slang terms edit

Woah, that's a huge edit for your first contribution! Thank you! That page is almost as old as the wiki, and could stand a lot of improvements. Some of those have been discussed over the past couple of years on the talk page. If you're up for it, going through and finding sources that demonstrate that the terms are more widely used than just "me and my buddies" would be massively appreciated. But please, continue on as you are, and welcome! --Corveroth (talk) 06:29, 2 February 2025 (UTC)

Thank you. It's a pretty outdated list and I saw a lot of the terms were kind of un-wikilike in usage. I feel like there's a lot of terms that could be placed in "outdated slang" too but I did not feel like I had the authority or knew enough about the specifics to actually define what is and is not "outdated". 22:39, 2 February 2025 (UTC)
I've got some proposals I'll draft up soon for a bigger overhaul, and I'll ping you when they're ready! Until then, keep this in mind: on a wiki, you already have all the authority you need to edit any page you have access to. If you make an error, it's trivial to just revert it. If you miss some details, that's why we're a community, we'll build on it. You can discuss a change before making it, as a courtesy, but if you have a honest belief that your edit is an improvement, just be bold. --Corveroth (talk) 00:12, 3 February 2025 (UTC)
Oh heck, I just realized we're having this discussion on your User page, not User Talk. This is your space for you to use however you like, but feel free to cut and paste this whole thread over to your User Talk. (I don't want to further stomp on your territory.) Sorry! --Corveroth (talk) 00:18, 3 February 2025 (UTC)

Sets navbox redesign

Hey Noilaedi, thanks for the ping on the Scryfall Discord! The sets navbox has been on my list of redesigns for over a year but as you've found, it's really tricky. Feel free to continue playing around with it. The more attempts we take at it, the more likely we are to crack it. Based on what you've started with, my advise is to look at streamlining the sets and not trying to include every single release. It will get overwhelming very quickly if you try to include everything and looking at it from a Wiki reader perspective, it becomes a challenge to navigate. My current thinking is that it needs to include all the Standard releases but releases outside of that may not be necessary for this navbox.

I've started a thread for this in the MTG Wiki Discord; you're more than welcome to join in. -- RivalRowan (talk) 04:53, 3 February 2025 (UTC)
