Colors

Expansion - with colors!

Okay, been working on a huge expansion to this template this weekend, and I think it's debugged and ready. I'm going to copy it in now, then check the existing uses to make sure it didn't break anything. (It will intentionally change "Notable Members" from its own section to one entry under a "Membership" section, to allow for other types of membership notes.) Okay! It looks pretty good, although "Notable members" did get an extra line or two in more cases than I expected. I could see adding a case in the template to reduce that if I really want to fiddle with it more, but probably just as easy to include things like |founder in more cases, making better use of the the new section heading. As I said I might add more to existing uses later, but anyone can feel free to make use of it as much as you like at this point! Ah yes and the param documentation is terribly ugly. I saw a few others use that style but there's probably something better. If anyone knows a format to copy let me know, I might hunt on other wikis if necessary. - jerodast (talk) 10:22, 28 November 2021 (UTC)

"Information"

I really don't think it reads well for a section of the infobox to be labeled "Information". It means nothing, the whole page is information. It's like "Description" sections in articles — everything could be a subsection of that, it doesn't identify what the focus is. The original idea was the infobox section was called "Game Information" to distinguish between information directly represented in the game, and less mechanically defined concepts about history, characters etc. If we want to say species and "jobs" (ugh) are actually in-universe lore info rather than in-game info, that's fine, we could just move them to the "membership" section and keep game mechanics and colors under game information?

Originally I had it set up so if colors were the ONLY game information, it would label the section accordingly, but it seems we've dropped that concept.

Open to other ideas too, just not "Information".
