Hatnote wording

I've been editing a few of the Universes Beyond articles recently and the more I read the current hatnote wording, the more awkward it feels. I'm proposing a change.
The current wording (as at April 5, 2025):

 | issue = '''The subject of this {{#if:{{{1|}}}|{{{1}}}|article}} relates to {{#if:{{{2|}}}|{{{2}}}|another franchise}}.'''
 | fix   = These topics therefore have no impact on <i>Magic</i>'s lore.

Proposed update:

 | issue = '''The subject of this {{#if:{{{1|}}}|{{{1}}}|article}} relates to {{#if:{{{2|}}}|{{{2}}}|an independent franchise}}.'''
 | fix   = These topics are external to <i>Magic</i>'s [[Portal:Story|lore]] and do not represent an in-universe crossover.

I don't like throwing the word "crossover" in there because it feels too jargon-y; it leaves the possibility that more explanation is needed. That wording also suggests that while the flagged article is not one, the total number of crossovers might be nonzero. --Corveroth (talk) 00:02, 6 April 2025 (UTC)

Wrong category included

D&D

On another note: should D&D articles really carry the UB template? --Hunter (talk) 05:02, 6 April 2025 (UTC)

If this template is flagging them as UB, that's an error. Otherwise, this template is not intended to be specific to UB, it should cover all cases of lore outside of Magic. UB, D&D, Ponies the Galloping #1 (which predates UB), some Heroes of the Realm stuff. --Corveroth (talk) 05:44, 6 April 2025 (UTC)

Happy to take suggestions on new art (could use the card art?), although with the triangle stamp going away it does feel like there's even less separating D&D and UB. RudleyDudley (talk) 02:38, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
