Template talk:Colors
WUBRG
Shouldn't that be in the "everything" row instead of the "multicolored" row? InThePeachGarden (talk) 17:11, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
- Yes. Or that could be GOLD (MULTICOLORED) * WUBRG (ALL COLORS (not "everything")). Template looks gauche. Could be more sophisticated.
- O/C, wiki staff must make this amendment. —Magic Mage (talk!) 14:00, 13 October 2013 (UTC)
Protection
Can this template become unprotected? I am going to try and edit/update the articles that transclude this template the coming days/weeks and want to smooth it out and expand/update it to include two-color combination as well as three-color combinations. The latter partly in preparation for Khans of Tarkir. AlmaV (talk) 14:42, 13 August 2014 (UTC)
- I'm sorry about all the protection. A previous mod was a bit too dilligent. --Hunter (talk) 16:10, 13 August 2014 (UTC)
Are there any objections to replacing this template with the design seen here: Template:Colors/Sandbox? --Tuamir (talk) 04:34, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
- I updated with a few suggestions. I moved Colorless down to the miscellaneous category because the only content was the
symbol, with no link. I understand why it was listed before monocolors, but I don't think devoting that much space to a single category label link and an image makes a lot of sense. I also pushed the color wheel image to the side, shortened the category names, and moved Bant to the end of the list of shards to maintain WUBRG order by their first colors. --Corveroth (talk) 06:09, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
- Nice with the last tweaks! --Tuamir (talk) 09:54, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
- One question. Why aren't colors for the wedges listed in WUBRG order internally (e.g. Jeskai as WUR, instead of URW). --Corveroth (talk) 20:35, 2 December 2015 (UTC)
- It was decided by R&D to easily remember what color is the central color of each wedge. It was explained during Tarkir block. See [[1]].--Tuamir (talk) 23:25, 2 December 2015 (UTC)
- Alright, as long as there's a sane reason. The justifications for wedge/shard ordering might be good to noinclude on the template page to prevent future editors from jumping the gun to "fix" things. Aside from that, no one else is touching this, so I think it's good to push to the main template. --Corveroth (talk) 00:16, 3 December 2015 (UTC)

Change Golgari colors in the "Enemy colors" tab from the colors chart.
Someone can please change Golgari colors from ,
; to
,
. It's really annoying me, and I can't do anything to change it; it seems it is protected.
Thank you.

- I updated the page. Good catch thanks.
Colors Hexcode
Trying to find some visible Hexcodes in case people want to make colored font to add aesthetics or make organization a little bit more clearer visually:
As a reminder, use
<span style="color:#X">TEXTGOESHERE</span>
for changing font color, where X is the hexcode:
- WHITE:C3B270
- BLUE:006DB3
- BLACK:808080
- RED:AF2321
- GREEN:4A8A3D
You can also use gradients via
<span style="background:linear-gradient(to right, X, Y, Z); -webkit-background-clip:text !important; -webkit-text-fill-color:transparent;">TEXTGOESHERE</span>
, where X, Y, Z are the colors! (Can be any number of colors). For example,
<span style="background:linear-gradient(to right,#006db3,#af2321); -webkit-background-clip:text !important; -webkit-text-fill-color:transparent;">IZZET</span>
means IZZET. Nera Buvelle (talk) 08:36, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
Are Ikoria triomes noteworthy?
I don't think the Ikoria triomes deserve to be mentioned here. They're just the name of locations but have no flavor meaning unlike Boros, Witherbloom or Abzan. No one uses the triome name to refer to a wedge deck. That's my opinion.
4 color combinations also don't have any flavor meaning but we don't have anything better.
