Template:Noitalic link

This template calls {{noitalic}} to format text embedded within a link—such as an {{about}} hatnote—to be non-italic.

Syntax

{{noitalic link|article title}}

OR

{{nil|article title}}

OR

{{noitalic link|base name|parenthetical}}

OR

{{nil|base name|parenthetical}}

Parameters

• 1 — article name, or base name, which is rendered unitalicized
• 2 — (optional) parenthetical disambiguator, which remains italicized

Example

{{about||the expansion|{{nil|Avatar: The Last Airbender}}}}

produces:

For the expansion, see Avatar: The Last Airbender.

{{about||the novel|{{nil|Mercadian Masques|novel}}}}

produces:

For the novel, see Mercadian Masques (novel).
