Creates an inline superscript note indicating some kind of fix/clarification is needed.[for example] Can be used as a meta-template to make templates like {{who}} and {{clarify}} work.
Parameters
Unnamed, required:
- text to show in superscript label; can also use named alias text
Named; first two are recommended:
- link — name of guide or policy page to link to for editors that click on this notice; defaults to Wikipedia:Cleanup
- title — "title text": short text that appears when hovering on link
- date — (optional) date of note; appears at end of hover/title text
- pre-text — (optional) unlinked text to show at start of note
- post-text — (optional) unlinked text to show at end of note
- category — (optional) category to apply to the page the template is used on
- recommended: use or create a category in Category:Pages by maintenance status
- When building another template based on {{Fix}}, wrap the category in
includeonly
tags to avoid putting the template itself into the category.
- class — (optional) CSS DOM classes to apply to the superscript element; defaults to "noprint Inline-Template"
Example
{{Fix|example|link=MTG Wiki:Manual of Style|title=This doesn't actually need fixing, it's just an example.}}
produces this: [example]
