Odyssey is the 24thMagic: The Gathering expansion. Released on September 21, 2001, the expansion is set on the Dominarian continent of Otaria.
Odyssey, like the following expansions in the Odyssey block, was a graveyard-focused expansion ("graveyard matters"), and featured flashback and threshold.
Odyssey was notable for introducing or the use of "unusual" tribes, including Nomads, Birds (Aven), Cephalids, Barbarians, Dwarves, Centaurs, Druids, and Insects, and the absence of Magic mainstays such as Elves and Goblins. In addition to Cephalids, Squirrels and Antelopes were introduced as Magic creature subtypes.
