Template:Efn
Explanatory footnote template, used for footnotes that aren't just direct references. They typically appear using letters in contrast to regular citations which are numbered;[a] the lettering is automatic just like with regular footnotes.[b]
Typically only one parameter: The footnote content, like {{efn|A special footnote}} produces the footnote linked at the end of this sentence.[c]
Normally does not need a parameter label, but can use reference
or note
or text
if there would be an error, usually due to an = in the actual footnote text (like in a URL). For example {{efn|reference=1+1=2.}} makes the note at the end of this sentence.[d]
