Three-page merge
I would propose merging both Vanguard (card type) and Life and hand modifier with this page. All of them are discussing the same concept and don't have much purpose outside of the context, barring the throwback of Ral's Vanguard, which refers back to the format anyway. There's an argument that life modifier and hand modifier are directly named concepts, but their only use is in this format, so I would say it's better off putting it all in one article. - I see your point there but I disagree that the two articles are talking about same concept. The Hand and life modifier article is a Comprehensive Rules page talking specifically about CR 211 and 212. It's definitely a stub but I think that's ok because we've generally structured the Wiki around the concept that each CR entry gets it's own article. This article ("Vanguard (format)"), on the other hand, is supposed to be about the game format itself. I think they're different enough to warrant separate articles but this one could use some expanding to help accentuate that difference. The other thing to consider is that Momir, at least on Magic Online, also uses the hand and life modifiers but because of the Magic: The Gathering Arena variant, is not always a sub-format of Vanguard. -- RivalRowan (talk) 22:33, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
