I've made some major updates with book-sourced information, I'll return to attach better citations shortly. Corveroth (talk) 07:26, 7 October 2014 (UTC)

great job! --Hunter (talk) 04:36, 8 October 2014 (UTC)

Which pre-rev source mentions the Thran empire as so a great civilization which exists on many(if not all)planes of existence?MORT 06:25, 21 May 2006 (CDT)

Hmm, more than two years, and no answer yet. I guess the flavor text of Golgothian Sylex hints at this, but I'd like to see a more reliable source. Oracle of Truth 14:41, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
The problem here, is that WotC meant Dominia to be a home planet of Urza then. Later it was changed to Dominaria and Dominia became the name of the multiverse. There were some more cards like this. Besides, Brothers couldn't have known that there were other planes besides their own - Dominaria. --MORT (T) 15:02, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
You are right, Strip Mine is an example of that, and no one is seriously suggesting, that the brothers mined the multiverse in pre-rev ;) . I'll remove that section. Oracle of Truth 18:15, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
Another example is a cover of Final Sacrifice - "... fights the most poewrful wizards in Dominia". They couldn't have been stated as the most powerful after Arena novel. But, this section is much more detailed than any cards could give, so someone had to read it somewhere, or it was thought up. Dunno. --MORT (T) 22:00, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Dates

What are the sources of the dates listed here? Official sources say the Thran lasted until c. -5000 AR but here we have dates like -4795 AR, which would be after that time. If the years are calculated just from the events of the book, they should all be pushed back by 205 years, unless there's a source that says otherwise. {{SUBST:User:Varghedin/SigX}} 10:24, 13 September 2024 (UTC)

I would assume just from other fans and readers of the book in the past - if the claims aren't sourced, feel free to change them. RudleyDudley (talk) 00:46, 14 September 2024 (UTC)
I see now from his review of the book that it appears that it was Squirle who put those dates into a wiki a long time ago based on an assumption of precise dates which can't really be reconciled with the typical "about 5000 years before the Brothers' War" rhetoric. He apologizes for that in the very end of the review. So I will change the dates to reflect the Thran Timeline page, which has it as a "countdown" format that actually works even if we don't know any precise dates. {{SUBST:User:Varghedin/SigX}} 12:45, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
