Booster Packs

An article has described changes to booster packs starting in this set. Now booster packs will include 1 rare, 4 uncommons, and 8 commons instead of 1, 3, and 10 respectively.‎—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 96.230.241.39 (talkcontribs).

We would need a source for that --Hunter (talk) 05:30, 30 October 2019 (UTC)
Probably this https://www.reddit.com/r/MagicArena/comments/dluyr7/4_uncommon_in_theros_beyond_death/ Seems to be unconfirmed. --Hunter (talk) 05:55, 30 October 2019 (UTC)

Colon

There is no colon in the official name of this set. 98.175.71.188 16:25, 5 December 2019 (UTC)

You are right. I'll fix it. --Hunter (talk) 17:34, 5 December 2019 (UTC)
I fixed it, but it was reversed. Still fail to find an official source with the colon. --Hunter (talk) 05:47, 10 December 2019 (UTC)
There are plenty official sources without the colon now, for example https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles. —Fenhl 09:31, 13 December 2019 (UTC)
I reverted it. Because the first announcements (including the Wizards Europe Twitter) I have read did write it with a colon. Also the first Ravnica and Ikoria utilize a colon. Apparently Theros skips out on the colon (or Wizards decided to drop it half way through), so I am all in for moving the main article to be without colon. - Yandere Sliver 12:46, 14 December 2019 (UTC)

Support Agent (Magic: The Gathering) Dec 15, 7:10 AM PST Hello,

Thank you for contacting Wizards of the Coast Customer Service! The product title is "Theros Beyond Death," without the colon. "Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths" does have the colon.

I’ll be glad to help you further if you have any other questions or concerns!

Titans

Are the titans part of the gold rare cycle? They are mythic rare while the rest are regular rare, seems odd.--J spencer93 (talk) 21:16, 6 January 2020 (UTC)

If there is fluctuation in rarity within a cycle it is often between rare and mythic. Polukranos is also mythic and I think there will be 4 Titans so that might as well be 5 rares and 5 mythics. But at the moment we are just working on assumptions anyway. - Yandere Sliver 21:27, 6 January 2020 (UTC)

Ah missed that he was mythic as well. Thank you. --J spencer93 (talk) 21:46, 6 January 2020 (UTC)

Rare Sagas

Is the rare blue saga not Kiora best the sea god?--J spencer93 (talk) 03:52, 7 January 2020 (UTC)

The rare blue Saga is Medomai's Prophecy which was part of the very early leaks. So Kiora's Saga is extra. - Yandere Sliver 06:54, 7 January 2020 (UTC)
Actually after double checking the Prophecy is uncommon so Kioara's Saga might as well be the blue rare one. I will add it to the list :) - Yandere Sliver 06:49, 9 January 2020 (UTC)

Set details

Hi! In the section "Set details" is written that the set contains 101 commons, 80 uncommons, 53 rares and 15 mythic rares, but if you search for Theros beyond death on Scryfall you get 108 commons, 82 uncommons, 65 rares and 18 mythic rares —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Black drg94 (talkcontribs).

I assume that is due to the extra cards that can't be obtained via booster. For mythic rares that would be Elspeth, Undaunted Hero and Ashiok, Sculptor of Fears which are the Planeswalker Deck mythics, and Athreos, Shroud-Veiled which is the by a box promo. So 3 extra mythic rares. For rares I remember there are 10 extra rares in the colored theme booster and again 2 for the Planeswalker Decks. So 12 extra rares. The 2 extra uncommons are also from the Planeswalker Decks. And there are also 2 commons exclusive to the Planeswalker Deck. But I can't remember from to of my head where the extra commons did came from. - Yandere Sliver 10:26, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
