Canon status

Is there an official word on whether these documents are canon in any meaningful sense? I worry because I know that the Warcraft RPG did a lot of worldbuilding that was later proven irrelevant and non-canonical when World of Warcraft simply ignored it. --Corveroth (talk) 03:28, 17 February 2017 (UTC)

Good question. I would treat it as canonical until proven otherwise. It is officially from Wizards and not licensed work, so in the end I see no reason to treat the information as non-canonical. - Yandere Sliver 03:55, 17 February 2017 (UTC)
In the absence of any official word one way or the other, I agree. Still, I've reached out to James Wyatt and Doug Beyer to see if either is willing to go on record. --Corveroth (talk) 03:59, 17 February 2017 (UTC)
Actually I did found a potcast where he calls into question one piece of lore. Urgh... O_o - Yandere Sliver 04:08, 17 February 2017 (UTC)
Since they are officially released by Wizards, I would consider the lore canonical (but not the D&D tech) --Hunter (talk) 07:40, 17 February 2017 (UTC)
