the availability seems to be out of date. should it be changed to first available? or perhaps that it should list multiple sets? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 104.28.104.75 (talkcontribs).

I would say "First available in" will do --Hunterofsalvation (talk) 20:04, 24 May 2023 (UTC)

Naming separated articles

I'm planning to fully disentangle the article about the plane card type from the article about planes in the Multiverse, since they're pretty different topics. Normally, when articles compete for namespace then game pieces take precedent—like the difference between Planeswalker and Planeswalker (lore). However, I'd like to make an exception in this case, and name the articles "Plane" and "Plane (card type)"—since the concept of a plane is so integral not just to the lore but to the game's entire brand and design, while the plane card type is an extremely marginal game piece, existing only in a handful of supplemental products for a fringe format. So that's my current plan, but I wanted to check in first in case anyone has strong opinions to the contrary. --Inktog (talk) 21:24, 26 June 2025 (UTC)

Consistency takes a back seat to topic prevalence, so I agree with you. The card type is only relevant to a relatively obscure gameplay variant, whereas the lore topic is central to the story. Corveroth (talk) 21:38, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
I agree with you and Corv. In addition to the above arguments, Plane cards are representative of the narrative Plane. People looking for planechase planes are more likely to search for the planar subtypes than the actual card type. I support the "Plane" and "Plane (card type)" plan. -- RivalRowan (talk) 22:35, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
