- Primarily in black, secondarily in red? Take a look at the numbers... A quick gatherer search shows that there are 42 red cards that have/grant menace, and 21 black ones that have/grant menace. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by DiamondSentinel (talk • contribs) 27 April 2017,15:03.
- Menace is primary red secondary black to my knowledge. Perhaps because it replaced Intimidate which was primary black? - Yandere Sliver

- Mark Rosewater says the intent is for menace to fill the void being created by the removal of intimidate. This means it will be primary in black and secondary in red.[1] Maybe we should ask him? --Hunter (talk) 04:58, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
- Okay, that makes a lot of sense. We should probably ask him. Since Menace was introduced on a red card and was keyworded quite late that might explain the color imbalance. - Yandere Sliver 06:08, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
