It'd be nice if the eight selections in the gallery represented something why I chose each one: - Mana Rig: Symbolizes his work on the Style Guide - Forgotten Ancient: You Make the Card tie-in - Necropotence: Iconic card - Chaos Orb: Iconic card - Mindstab Thrull: Artist's personal favorite of his own work - Leviathan: Already on Wiki. Happened to be my favorite of his. - Kraj: Already on Wiki. It was also the most recent.

8 was an arbitrary number as well. I felt it made a lot of sense to have galleries for the artists that depict and symbolize the whole of their work. A picture speaks a thousand words eh? Just throwing this out there to see if anyone else has a take on it or suggestion.--Cashew 14:06, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

I agree, artists should have galleries that sum up / show off their work. 8 is a good number, not too many, just enough. --GeoMike 00:28, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

Template Box

Would it be worthwhile to have a template box for artists? Something like:

  • Name
  • Photo
  • Years/Sets Active or Simple Status
  • Pieces
I don't think zodiac sign is appropriate. --GeoMike 22:52, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

Gallery Highlights

Artwork Quality Relevance Description Replace?
Chaos Orb Low Medium Iconic card from Alpha. Mark Tedin had a lot of them though. Improved quality from Alpha or Arabian Nights
Experiment Kraj High Low Experiment Kraj is a well known card from Ravinca block. Only to increase relevance from a modern set
Forgotten Ancient Very High Very High Elemental creature and the first You Make a Card. The fans chose him. Not recommended
Persecute Artist High High Artwork is an iconic early blue fattie and Leviathan. Highly interpretive as to its surreal elements. Only to remove the watermarks
Mindstab Thrull High Very High Also called Mutant Saboteur a nasty little Thrull from Fallen Empires. One of Mark's early artworks. Only to remove the watermarks
Necropotence Medium High One of the most iconic cards in Magic ever. As reviled as it is renowned. Only to improve quality.
Polar Kraken High Low Fairly memorable Leviathan from Ice Ages. Not really important to Mark Tedin, was just already on the wiki. To improve relevance.
Mana Rig Concept Artwork High High A concept artwork that is part of the Style Guide. Represents Marks work in helping to establish it. Only for a more interesting Style Guide concept art.

Use this as a quick way to determine which artworks need improvement or replacement.
