Talk:Magic: The Gathering (MicroProse)
I'd like to get the enemy deck lists for this game and the expansions added to the wiki. There's 55 of these in the original game, updated versions of each of these in Spells of the Ancients, and 22 further player decks in the Duels of the Planeswalkers expansion. 132 total. So I'm questioning the best way to structure this all. By extension would it make sense to split the Shandalar page into three so that each of those expansions could have it's own expanded page (and then the decks for each another tab on that). Treating it essentially like how blocks are currently set up you could say. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Beatsandskies (talk • contribs).
- If you have a lot of content to ad, than it is better to split the pages indeed. You can also make use of subtabs --Hunter (talk) 08:35, 2 February 2025 (UTC)
Development
The game was originally scheduled for summer 1995. InQuest #7 records the termination of "over 30" MicroProse employees in September 1995, "including members of the Magic team". Corveroth (talk) 23:04, 17 July 2025 (UTC)
- The following issue has more detail: the entire team except for the lead was fired, and adjusts the timing to August, rather than September. At the time of that turnover, MicroProse had added a second team to create a Windows version of the game (did the MS-DOS version ever happen?). Everything except for the graphics was expected to be scrapped in the reboot of the project. Corveroth (talk) 23:29, 17 July 2025 (UTC)
- InQuest #9, Wikipedia:Sid Meier was a founder of MicroProse and joined the team working on the Windows 95 reboot. At this point in history, they were targeting a Spring '96 release. Corveroth (talk) 23:47, 17 July 2025 (UTC)
