Thirteen theme

Is it too trivial to make an entire page based on the thirteen motif of Innistrad cards? They're mentioned in passing on each page but it ultimately doesn't capture its magnitude, as most don't make any notable cards list. I could boil it down to a single trivia sentence on this page, if the above is not warranted. Shield (talk) 03:57, 6 January 2026 (UTC)

Is there more to be said than just "the number 13 is a theme"? If that's all, that's one sentence. If you turn up a few development quotes about R&D's inspirations, why they chose the designs they chose, what things they scrapped, what details they left to the artists: that could be a few paragraphs, depending on what you discover. When you start to find that you would need several paragraphs to explain multiple facets of a topic, that's a good sign that the topic is significant enough to warrant its own article. That's a guideline, though: we've long chosen to create articles for every keyword and creature, even when there's nothing much to say.
Keep in mind that whichever scope you choose, the focus should be on the role of 13 in Magic, and specifically on Innistrad, rather than real-world superstition. The latter deserves mention as a motivation for the theme (I'm sure you can find a source for this), and probably ought to have a Wikipedia link, but the details of real beliefs can be presumed to be irrelevant to Magic and MTG Wiki unless a source indicates otherwise.
