Indestructible vs. deathtouch
When a creature with deathtouch (say Acidic Slime) is blocked by a creature with indestructible (say Darksteel Myr), the creature with indestructible survives, right? This isn't mentioned either here or at Deathtouch. InThePeachGarden (talk) 15:51, 30 December 2013 (UTC)

compound fracture
I noticed that when I was attacking an enemy who applied https://scryfall.com/card/iko/103/unlikely-aid to a minion they were blocking with, they had 1 health and I applied my 1st Compound Fracture to it and this still killed it.
I think maybe indestructible prevents you from "destruction" in the sense of damage or death touch (as in previous section) but compound fracture must work differently, because it's actually lowering your max health to zero, even briefly, which causes them to die.
Easy enough to test out in a swamp v swamp match if anyone doubts. Tycio (talk) 03:36, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
- If the toughness of a creature is reduced to 0, the creature is put into the graveyard. This is not a destruction or a damage effect so it gets passed indestructible. - Yandere-sliver (talk) 17:19, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
Removed "Cards that have Indestructible"
The current article has a subsection titled "Cards that have Indestructible" which consists of nothing but a list of the cards with the keyword indestructible. Prior to it becoming a keyword in Magic 2014, this sort of list might have made sense. But in the modern day, I don't see it having any function or benefit. The Scryfall search in the infobox (keyword:"Indestructible") should be sufficient to cover the needs of readers. I'm removing the list from the article. -- RivalRowan (talk) 22:44, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
- I would also support removing the two "gains indestructible" lists because as it's become the new regen clause there's two or so every set. I'd like the "lose indestructible" list to stay, but that's largely from a sentimental viewpoint: it's just as easy to search for. Shield (talk) 22:51, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
- I'd be happy with both of those. If we can put some prose around the "lose indestructible" list, like the evolution of the designs or its changing palace in the game, that should be enough to keep it around. -- RivalRowan (talk) 02:13, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
