Hyphen
Just FYI, I believe the rules consistently use a hyphen when face-down (or face-up) is used as an adjective ("face-down permanent") and no hyphen when used as an adverb ("turn it face down"). I will try to be consistent with this in the article but probably have messed it up a lot. - jerodast (talk) 05:25, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
- Should the page be moved to Face-down? --Hunterofsalvation (talk) 06:04, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
- Hm, good question. Probably no, because the rule that defines status is 110.5 and says "face up/face down" with no hyphen. I think it's fair to say that since it's so often used as an adverb, either term is just as good to label the overall mechanic. It's only in a specific sentence that I would try to match usage.- jerodast (talk) 07:04, 30 March 2023 (UTC)
