There is an error, basic lands don't have a color identity, their intresic ability is treated as reminder text. But CR 903.5d still states they can't be used in any deck, while not giving them a color identity, I can't change it but someone should

Rewrite - page update

I've re-written the Color Identity page to be a bit more comprehensive in its explanation of how color identity is constructed. This also clarifies the issue around how the basic land types contribute to a card's identity. I've tried to include referenced sources where possible. My re-write has removed a number of the examples used in the previous version. I'm hoping that the new format removes the need for as many examples but it needs a review by someone more experienced to determine if I've gone too far in simplifying things.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by RivalRowan (talk • contribs).
