Talk:Amonkhet (plane)

Under "Trivia", it says "Amonkhet is egyptian inspired." Um... does anyone have a source for this? All we know is that it is a plane of desert ruled by Nicol Bolas. There are plenty of deserts in the world that are not in Egypt. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 64.69.158.250 (talk • contribs) 2016-09-01T02:50.
- Blogatog. And the image with pyramids. But I'm waiting for a better conformation source for a definitive link. --Tuamir (talk) 16:09, 1 September 2016 (UTC)
Rabiah Scale
I'm not sure why Mark Rosewater's Rabiah Scale rating is included in the vital information about the plane. The Rabiah Scale is Mark's best guess of how likely it is that Magic will revisit a plane. That's all it is – a guess. I'm removing it, but please chime in if you think it should remain. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by OrdinaryOtter (talk • contribs) 2025-02-24T07:59.
- I have reverted this change. I think you're undervaluing Mark's position as Head Designer and as a Vision Designer. But the more important point is that it gives readers a rough sense of how likely that plane is to see a return in another set. Magic is currently in a state of flux with that, as acknowledged by Mark through his statements on the growing number of planes. But that doesn't change its relevance. An 8 or 9 or 10 is not something a reader should expect a return to and the Rabiah Scale conveys that information simply and effectively. -- RivalRowan (talk) 08:56, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
