Talk:Activated ability

I have a question about this, if you can only play abilities that don't have the (tap) sign during your main phase, how does regeneration work, ever? It seems to me that you cant regenerate a creature that was killed outside of your main phase if that rule is true, how can that be? I think this article has it backwards, you may only use tap abilities during your main phase and you can use mana abilities any time.
