It is unlikely (or at least unknown) that Amsterdam and Berlin will be released in this year, as three UB sets seems to be the way forward --Hunter (talk) 09:27, 16 June 2025 (UTC)

I've removed this subsection from the main article for a couple of reasons. Having a big block of cards stats is not particularly helpful for readers, especially in its rawest format like this. The seven-color breakdown (WUBRG+C+M) doesn't make sense to include for every stat because as the numbers get larger, the color balance becomes more even and the raw numbers with no commentary don't give a reader any insight into why (or even if) the variation is important. Are each of the stats worth tracking? Finally, I think this sort of stat block really only matters as an end-of-year review and has little value early- or mid-year (as can be seen by there only being 86 cards for 2026 as at Jan 4, 2026).
I think this type of statistical analysis does have value for the article, but it needs to be surrounded by prose explaining what numbers are significant, if those numbers are up or down on previous years, why a color skew matters, etc. It can't just be the raw numbers. If anyone wants to have a go at writing up some text for this section, it can happily go back into the article (though I would recommend at the end of the article, rather than the start). -- RivalRowan (talk) 23:16, 3 January 2026 (UTC)
I'll agree that the color breakdowns are excessive, but a good chunk of this could make for fodder for an {{Infobox year}}. Some of these stats, the world champ and POTY, links to all of the new sets (exclude SLs for the sake of space), the B&R announcements? Corveroth (talk) 03:49, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
Personally, I think the way we're using this article as an events summary doesn't require an infobox. But I can see some variation on Wikipedia's formatting working out. -- RivalRowan (talk) 19:21, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
