Simon Görtzen is a German professional Magic player.

Professional play

Best known for winning Pro Tour San Diego 2010 after ending Luis Scott-Vargas' 17-match undefeated run, Görtzen also has a Grand Prix top eight finish at GP Paris 2008, and finished fifth at Pro Tour Charleston 2006 with teammates Harald Stein and Simon Hockwin. In recent years, Görtzen has been a member of the European Grand Prix coverage team, providing play-by-play commentary on feature matches; he has also occasionally been a member of the coverage team at Pro Tours, the World Magic Cup, and the World Championship.

In 2020, he won a place in the Magic Rivals League, and in 2021 he was the runner-up in the Innistrad Championship.
