Shawn "Hammer" Regnier is a former Magic: The Gathering player and comic bookstore owner from Manchester, New Hampshire. A former professional arm wrestler, "Hammer" had a very relaxed, conversational style which he used to unnerve his opponents.[1]
In the first ever Pro Tour (New York 1996), Regnier played a blue-white Millstone deck deck with very heavy permission (including 12 counterspells).[2] He would go on to win the next Pro Tour in Los Angeles, becoming the first player to Top 8 back-to-back Pro Tours.
Regnier is quoted in the flavor text of the "Extra Pulled" card "What Are You, Chicken?"
