Shaheen Soorani is an American Magic player. He is known as a deckbuilder and innovator of Control strategies, with a particular affinity for Esper Control decks. In 2006, he came tantalizingly close to making the top eight of the World Championships; however, his intentional draw in the final round of Swiss resulted in a 9th-place finish, narrowly losing out on tiebreakers as the only player with 40 points. In recent years, he has experienced success on the Star City Games Open circuit, and also finished in the top eight of Grand Prix São Paulo 2016 alongside teammates Pascal Maynard and Brian Braun-Duin, and in the Grand Prix Tampa 2019.
