Ryan Cubit is an Australian professional Magic: The Gathering player.
Professional play
Cubit is one of the most accomplished Australian players, having made it to the Top 8 of two Grand Prixs. He has also attended 10 Pro Tours/Mythic Championships, including an 11th spot finish at Pro Tour Amonkhet. His first major success was making the Australian Team for the World Magic Cup in 2016 and walking away with a top 8 finish, where the team finished 6th, but he took another major step forward in his career by turning this Pro tour qualification into a run of success on the Pro tour circuit into Gold level pro status on the old Pro tour system, which qualified him for the next years of Pro tours and beyond.
Cubit continued his success by re-qualifying for the Australian Team again the following year and representing Australia at the World Magic Cup in 2017 by finishing second at the 2017 Australian National Championship. Although the Team could not replicate their success from the previous year it was yet another step forward in Cubit's career and Australia.
Cubit was part of the Pro tour Team Tapas 2016-17, which was filled with a crew of sorts from Australia magic players. The following year he joined a European Pro Tour SNAPCARDSTER for the Team Series.
Cubit is known in the Pro community for his success with the Mardu archetype and in the Australian Magic community for his winning techniques with unique builds/brews for deck choices.
