Quinton Hoover was one of the original twenty-five Magic: The Gathering artists, and his distinct style helped make many of the early cards memorable and vivid. He also created art for comic books and other games, including Dungeons & Dragons and the Legend of the Five Rings CCG.

Proposal

Quinton was approached by Richard Garfield to create the art for the Proposal card that Richard would then use to propose to his then-girlfriend, Lily Wu.[1]

Death

Quinton Hoover died on April 20, 2013, at the age of 49.[2][3]
