Paul Sligh is a former professional player. He is known for popularizing the Sligh archetype, created by friend Jay Schneider, after a second place finish at a PTQ tournament. As he was the first player to have success with a Red Aggro (or "Speed") deck at this level, his surname was quickly adopted by the community as the name of the deck.
Paul Sligh's first, and only, Pro Tour appearance was at Los Angeles in 1996, where he didn't make the cut to the second day.
