Trivia by color
White
- The art of Gallantry combines with that of Repentant Vampire to form one scene of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and her partner Angel fighting the undead.[1][2]
Blue
- Syncopate the "Sink" from Power Sink with the "pate" from Dissipate.[3]
Black
- Repentant Vampire is a reference to Angel, a character from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and his own spin-off show. Angel was a murderous vampire cursed to have a soul, who later became an ally of Buffy and a hunter of other vampires and demons. The card art and that of Gallantry form one scene of Buffy and Angel fighting the undead.[1][2]
Multicolored
- Psychatog is pictured in the Onslaught version of Shock.[4]
- A reference to Psychatog also appears in Modern Horizons 3, Psychic Frog. It has the same colors as Psychatog and has two activated abilities, one activated by discarding a card and the other by exiling from the graveyard, although these abilities differ slightly from Psychatog's. It also has a curiosity ability on top of the activated abilities.
Colorless
- Every artifact creature featured in the Odyssey block was printed in Odyssey.
