A prequel novel to the Magic: The Gathering Netflix series was announced on August 24, 2021. It was written by acclaimed fantasy author Django Wexler.[1][2][3] Though originally planned for release in 2022, there's as yet no word on the actual release date of the series and the novel.
Expanding on the events that unfold in the Netflix series, the prequel novel dives into how Gideon Jura and Jace Beleren bond — and distance — as they share causes, but distinct perspectives and abilities.[1]
