Modal/Commands
< Modal
The Commands are a group of card cycles featuring instants and sorceries that offer four modes of which you can pick two while casting. For this reason, each command can be cast as six different spells.
Description
The first cycle of commands was mono-colored and was printed in Lorwyn. Since then, an enemy-colored cycle, an allied-colored cycle, and another mono-colored cycle have been printed in Dragons of Tarkir, Strixhaven: School of Mages, and The Brothers' War, respectively.

Trivia
- While matching the naming scheme of the commands and even being an instant, Gerrard's Command is not a command as it is not modal. Krenko's Command is similar.
- Very Cryptic Command was printed in Unstable. Like the other commands, it has four modes to pick two from- however, Very Cryptic Command has six different variants for a total of twenty-four different modes across the six variants. An alternate art for Very Cryptic Command was even illustrated by Wayne England who illustrated the original cycle.
- Command Performance was printed in Unfinity, using tickets and attractions to produce a common-rarity Command.
