Mitzy[1] or Mitzi[2] is a female Shivan Dragon statue that serves as Wizards of the Coast's "Lobby Dragon."[3]
Description
Mitzy is an enormous crimson-and-copper-scaled dragon in a threatening attack posture.[4] She has a carving of a pierced heart containing the word "Mom" on one of her scales.[1]
History
Mitzy was created to hang in the very first Wizards of the Coast Tournament Center.[5] She was suspended above South Reception, the office's front reception desk.[4] When the Tournament Center closed, the statue was moved across Lind Avenue to the fourth-floor lobby of Wizards of the Coast's corporate headquarters.[4]
In 2019, Wizards employees were given 5th Anniversary plaques featuring art of Mitzy, created by Brian Valeza.[6]
