Matthieu Avignon is a former French professional Magic player, best known as being part of the Rivals League for two years. His highest placement at a Pro Tour was 57th at the New Capenna Championship.
Career
He was invited to participate in the 2020-21 Rivals League through the online Arena ladder, having ended in the Top 8 MTG Arena Mythic Points in the partial 2020 Players Tour Season. Despite a poor showing in the first cycle of Players Championships, he managed to do well enough in the League weekends to avoid relegation and secure a second invite for the final season.
Avignon made a marked improvement in the 2021-2022 cycle but ultimately achieved no invites into the new Pro Tour system. His most notable achievement since was a Top 16 placement at Arena Championship 7, qualifying him for Pro Tour Aetherdrift.
