Legacy Merfolk deck
Merfolks is a deck that takes advantage of the Merfolk tribe synergies.
Overview
Merfolks is notorious for having a high number of "lords" in the deck - A lord is a creature that enhances creatures of a certain tribe.
The term lord even derives from the card Lord of Atlantis, which is frequent in Merfolk lists.
The general idea of the deck is to play creatures that buff each other and grow ever out of the opponent's reach to deal with.
Some mechanics involving mana denial and prison are optional for the strategy to function but can be implemented primarily in the form of Rishadan Port, Rishadan Dockhand, and Chalice of the Void.
The deck is mostly blue and it is even uncommon to see it use another color.
The land base usually includes Cavern of Souls and, in conjunction with Aether Vial, the deck is efficient in rendering opposing counterspells unusable.
The vast majority of decklists don't need Reserved List cards to function and this makes it one of the decks that draw the attention of new Legacy players.
