Gen Con is one of the largest and most prominent annual gaming conventions in North America.
Description
The current owner of Gen Con is Peter Adkison. The convention features role-playing games, miniatures wargames, board games, strategy games, and collectible card games like Magic: The Gathering. Wizards of the Coast first presented Magic to the general public at Gen Con in August 1993; the game proved extremely popular, selling out Alpha.
The Vintage Championship used to be a yearly event at Gen Con.
