Darigaaz's Caldera is a volcanic lake on Shiv, and formerly the prison of the primeval dragon Darigaaz for millennia.

History

Fall of the Primevals

During the Fall of the Primevals, the red primeval, Rhammidarigaaz, was entombed by the red Numena Averru in the caldera. For many millennia, the world was without primevals, until Rhammidarigaaz was reborn in c. 3346 AR, from the Shivan Dragon Gherridarigaaz.

Phyrexian Invasion of Dominaria

In 4205, during the Phyrexian Invasion of Dominaria, after most of the rest of Shiv had been phased out by Teferi, Tevesh Szat brought Rhammidarigaaz to the caldera and showed him his former tomb. With no memory of his former life, Darigaaz was excited to learn about the dormant primevals scattered across the world and took the Dragon Nations with him to Yavimaya to wake the first Primeval, Rith.
