Category talk:Snow characters
Meaningless? Delete?
This category essentially seems identical to a Scryfall query for "t:creature t:legend t:snow" (with the right settings switched on to get promo card Myntasha). For several of the characters I'd argue whether theyre's any meaningful content on their pages at all, but that's a different debate. I don't see the point of having this category. I guess the same could be said of Category:Blue mana characters for example, but 1) the relatively meager size of this category makes it quite easy to confirm that the only members are present by way of rote card search rather than any sort of meaningful editorial decision-making, and 2) Snow isn't a color and it's actually incorrect to list snow among the colors in these cards' infoboxes.
(Side note, based on prefix search it appears there are no other snow categories, unlike say Category:Blue mana artifacts.)
I'll let this percolate for a bit, but yeah I could see just yanking the snow out of the infoboxes and deleting this. If not, we might still insist on removing snow from the "colors" infobox label and manually applying the category instead.

- So the category was there before I pushed the categorization of species, jobs and colors into the infoboxes to reduce the amount of manually placed categories and improve consistency. As snow is a supertype and a pretty special case all things considered, I thought it was easiest to put it into the colors section. While technically not a color we are also displaying
and
there ... so it isn't completely strict. But if we kill of this category, I can live with this as well. - Yandere-sliver (talk) 16:40, 30 August 2025 (UTC)
