Symbols

Where did those symbols come from? --GeoMike 23:03, 5 August 2008 (EDT)

I also wondered about them, I suppose that they are from the Time-Shifted Cards of Future-Sight, respectively, they were the first cards using them. --Hó-òh Diskussion 04:15, 6 August 2008 (EDT)
I think they need mention under the symbols that they are from Future Sight time shifted cards, then. --GeoMike 06:47, 6 August 2008 (EDT)
They are also used in Magic Online since v.3, so imo that's not necessary. Oracle of Truth 07:17, 6 August 2008 (EDT)
I don't have Magic Online so I wouldn't know that. It needs to state somewhere where these symbols came from. --GeoMike 11:58, 6 August 2008 (EDT)
Well ok, it does not hurt to have the description. Oracle of Truth 14:04, 6 August 2008 (EDT)

Time formatting

Hi, what about time formatting, and where to discuss? If it's ok here and you mean general time formatting in our articles, then I'd suggest to keep it consistent with mtg.com, since we have tons of references that already use this format ;) . It is also less ambiguous to Europeans compared to other (shorter) options. Oracle of Truth 19:19, 14 August 2008 (EDT)

Awesome, a response! :D Well, I am used to European time templating, DD MM YYYY. But, another thing is, my buddy from Germany, is the comma. Should we have DD[space]MM[comma][space]YYYY or DD[space]MM[space]YYYY? :) MM (talk!) 02:34, 15 August 2008 (EDT)
Usually there are no commas in European dates, they are separated by full stops (e.g. "15.08.2008" in Germany) or by slashes (e.g. "15/08/2008" in Great Britain). But as I said, we should really stick to the format Wizards uses, i.e. "Friday, August 15, 2008" (German equivalent would be "Freitag, 15. August 2008"). Oracle of Truth 06:32, 15 August 2008 (EDT)
Oh s[bleep][bleep][bleep]... I remember taking your stance once upon a time. Yes, we outta keep with Wizards on this. Can you guys change it to that formatting, please? Sorry.
I would, but you know what's up. :-/
Thank you, oracle of truth for all you've done, all you're about to do, and all you'll do. I guess this shall be my last edit before the sui-block works and stays. :P

Alacar Leoricar and licence issues

Have you checked with him whether it's ok to post all his stuff here? Remember that everything is made available under the Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 2.5 licence (at least nominally), obviously excluding the copyrighted stuff from Wizards (actually we really really have to mark all that material someday). Even if we forget about this a moment, he might not be comfortable with it. Oracle of Truth 06:40, 15 August 2008 (EDT)

Ok. I'll rmv it. HAHAHA, lol. We really haven't really addressed copyright. :P MM (talk!) 07:14, 15 August 2008 (EDT)

Lorwyn-Shadowmoor category

How about making a template that automatically inserts the lengthy text required, like Template:LorShad, or something? :P MM (talk!) 08:24, 17 August 2008 (EDT)

It only makes things more complicated to edit. Saving just ten letters isn't worth it. Oracle of Truth 08:31, 17 August 2008 (EDT)
Please explain, OoT... I don't understand. X'( MM (talk!) 10:42, 17 August 2008 (EDT)
What I thought you meant was: [[Category:Lorwyn-Shadowmoor]] - 30 letters, [[Template:LorShad]] - 20 letters. But apparently you mean something else by "lengthy text"... Oracle of Truth 13:09, 17 August 2008 (EDT)
Um, why would you link to a template? Inclusion works by using these braces: "Template:" and "", to close. So, Template:LorShad, or to keep it simpler, Template:Lorshad/Template:Lorshad, because it's such a hassle to capitalize mid-way a word. MM (talk!) 02:16, 18 August 2008 (EDT)
Ah right, sry^^. Still I don't think it's worth it. Oracle of Truth 07:35, 18 August 2008 (EDT)

Thanks for the Message

I see there's some discussion about copyright above. Is that why there isn't a page for every card? I can fairly easily knock together a program to create a magiccards.info-style page for each card and keep it up to date (although I don't have scans) if you like ... Bakert 18:28, 17 August 2008 (EDT)

That's not really an issue, at least for now. Duplicating magiccards.info is sort of pointless since both that site and this wiki are owned and hosted by Hannes. And as I said before, currently there is a consensus not to this. Oracle of Truth 20:55, 17 August 2008 (EDT)

P.S. Thanks. =) MM (talk!) 03:16, 25 August 2008 (EDT)

Do you see what I see?

Legends#Design and Development... there's this code box. :-/ MM (talk!) 05:53, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Huh, seems to be a bug introduced with the new version. Replace spaces after a reference with a newline and everything is fine ;) . Oracle of Truth 12:52, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
Just delete the space after </ref>. It's weird that when you look at history of edits there are no code boxes visible. --MORT (T) 18:15, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Good luck

With your exams, of course. Also, oot, I'm going to archive your page up to everything last month; if not okay, feel free to undo. :) And sorry for any incurred inconvenience in advance.

As for MTG.com templates, if the old links still work, does that mean you'll create new templates? MM (talk!) 10:55, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Hm... I figured as such. I truly beg of you for your forgiveness. -.-' MM (talk!) 14:51, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
