The Forgotten Realms Welcome Boosters are samplers, given away for free to show off the coolest aspects of the game.[1]

Description

These revamped Welcome Boosters are designed to show WPN Dungeons & Dragons customers the ropes of Magic. All WPN members in the U.S., New Zealand, and Australia received twenty Welcome Boosters, that were to be given away to the first twenty customers that purchased D&D products.[1] At the same time, U.S. WPN stores also received 20 introductory Dungeons & Dragons adventures to introduce Magic players to D&D.

The Welcome Booster contains ten cards.[2] Each Welcome Booster is exactly the same and contains a sample of legendary creatures, planeswalkers, rares, foils, showcase cards, and more. It also contains a double-sided helper card that contains tips on how to get started, find stores, and learn a lot more about the game. Some cards appear in the AFR Welcome Booster but do not appear in Adventures in the Forgotten Realms. They retain their original expansion symbol. This printing has no effect on their legality.

The package also contains three double-sided advertisement cards (from a series numbered 1-24 and marked with a A), and an MTG Arena code card for the Core Set 2021 Critter Corps deck in MTG Arena.
