Tevesh Szat, the Doom of Fools, was one of the recurring evil forces of Dominarian history. Several times he would plunge continents and the entire plane itself into utter chaos. However, Tevesh Szat was not always evil, originally going by the name Tev Loneglade he had an extremely neutral disposition refusing to interfere with the affairs of mortals. The death of his sister would change his stance dramatically.

Biography

Youth

Tev Loneglade lived along the Argoth coast with his sister Tymolin Loneglade before and during the Brother's War. Growing up, Tymolin looked after Tev taking care of him and protecting him from threats. An accomplished fighter, Tymolin was highly adept with a blade able to stand her ground against many foes. After becoming a planeswalker, Tev became fiercely protective of Tymolin forever enchanting her with eternal youth.

Sarpadia

Sometime during the 100 AR's Tymolin and Tev moved to Sarpadia. While living there Tev grew very netural refusing to interfere with the every escalating chaotic affairs around him. Tymolin however was far his opposite marrying a Dwarf named Kaylen. During their marriage Tymolin also had an affair with an Icatian Priest by the name of Oliver Farrel. In 170 AR, during an [[Orc]-Goblin attack on the Dwarven empire, Kaylen would fall in battle stabbed from behind by an orc.

Tev would come to Tymolin's rescue after she was banished from the Dwarven empire. During this time together Tymolin would plead with Tev to intervene and help defeat the forces of chaos. Tev still extremely neutral would refuse to stop the orcs and goblins or help the Dwarves.

Transformation to Tevesh Szat

Travelling near the Havenwood-Icatia border Oliver Farrel and his Farrelites attack Tev and Tymolin. During the fight when Farrel attacks Tev with an Aeolipile, Tevesh responds by disenchanting Oliver's powerful cloak from the Farrelite Champion Sianna. Tymolin sensing a new weakness in Sianna strikes at her and as the Farrelites retreat becomes seperated from Tev.[1]

Now alone in Havenwood, Tev becomes infuriated at the audacity of being attacked. His grip on humanity begins to slip and his image shifts from that of an old man to a more demonic apppeal. In his search for Tymolin, he happens upon the elf master-scout Loren under attack by the druid Morgan and several Thallids. Showing his loss of neutral slant, Tev incinerated the Thallids leaving Loren alone to fight the druid Morgan. Tev did this not out of compassion for the elf, but out of fairness for the fight - commenting that if it had been a single thallid and four elves the elves would now be dead.

During this same time, Tymolin had becomed captured by Vaylesh and the Order of the Ebon Hand. During her capture she managed to kill two members of the Ebon Hand, but she is eventually subdued with a sleeping potion. Vaylesh uses her to lure Oliver Farrel into a trap, which backfires when Farrel stabs Tymolin to death. Tev sensing his sister's demise loses all grip with humanity and fully transforms into Tevesh Szat's current serpentine dragon-form. Flying into the Ebon Hand encampment, Tevesh incinerates everyone present including Sianna, Oliver Farrel and Vaylesh.

Fall of Sarpadia

After their deaths he renames himself Tevesh Szat and vows to seek "Ssssssilence." His first action is to use a Planar Gate to summon the Orc-Goblin army onto Montford. Although Icatia would push back that attack, Szat would methodically orchestrate and delivered the killing blows to the various empires of Sarpadia.[2]

Ice Age

Szat continued destroying civilization after civilization, believing them to lead only to decadence and corruption. It was Szat that manipulated the battle between Freyalise and Jason Carthalion in such a way that the city of Storgard was irreparably damaged.

Szat attended the Summit of the Null Moon, where he fought Freyalise. After that he tried to intensify the Ice Age, but was defeated by Jaeuhl Carthalion and fled to Shandalar, where he was defeated again, this time by Sahrmal.

Nine Titans

Szat stopped his rampage for a time and retreated to a plane of perpetual darkness. Here he was visited by Urza Planeswalker, who wanted him to be part of the Nine Titans and attack Phyrexia (Szat had dealings with Phyrexia and knew the layout of the plane). However, Szat betrayed the Titans, convinced Darigaaz to free the Primeval Dragons, and killed Daria and Kristina of the Woods. Urza predicted Szat's betrayal and used his life energy to fuel the soul bombs that devastated Phyrexia.
