Archons are mystical celestial beings that aren't to be confused with angels. They are heavily aligned with the principles of White, have obscured faces, and always appear on a flying steed (usually a winged lion).[1] They seem to be mirror-images of the black Specters, hooded beings that also ride flying mounts.

Known Archons

So far five archons are known:

Notes

  • Archon is a Greek word that means "ruler", "magistrate" or "lord"
  • The black Cabal Archon is a Human Cleric, not an Archon.
  • The flavor text of Krond the Dawn-Clad seems to imply archons, much like angels, are being made of pure White mana. It further implies that archons might be created, naturally or by white aligned mages, as embodiments of concepts, something supported by the fact that previous archons are directly associated with said concepts (Archon of Justice representing justice, and so forth).
  • Krond the Dawn-Clad is the only multi-coloured archon, being equally part-Green. Unlike previous archons, which are personifications of abstract concepts, Krond appears to be a solar deity.
