Chris Mooney was as finalist in the The Great Designer Search 3 in 2018, where he finished in third place. In 2019, he became a design contractor for Wizards of the Coast.[1]

He was part of the Set Design team of Commander 2019[2], and designed the silver-bordered Ponies: The Galloping set.[3]
