Ærathi was a land of powerful and brutish warriors. It was once a free and proud island nation, but the Kentsu attacked it. When the Ærathi refused to surrender to the Madaran Empire the Kentsu destroyed the entire island. The Ærathi where forced to serve in the Kentsu itself and became the armies elite troops.
When Ærathi berserker Jorgan Hage killed general Marhault Elsdragon and took his place as leader of the Kentsu, many Ærathi where promoted. But not long afterwards Hage died in battle.
After emperor Nicol Bolas was defeated by Tetsuo Umezawa the empire fell into chaos, with the Ærathi being one of the groups that wished to have freedom, or at least more power.
Several Ærathi people have been seen in the storyline:
Jorgan Hage, who was the second in command of the Kentsu until he killed and replaced the high general Marhault Elsdragon.
Commander Hrotgha was an Ærathi clan member of Hage and was promoted after Hage became general. He led an attack on Umezawa Manor, but all his men where killed by Wasitora.
Commander Gunamo was another Ærathi. He lead the troops Ayesha Tanaka required to take the Sylvan Lybrary from Lord Magnus. After Ayesha was overwhelmed by the forest’s power however, Gunamo was torn in two by killer vines.
In pre-revisionist continuity Ravidel summoned a warrior from Ærathi to attack Jared Carthalion and take the Red Mana Well.
