Race | Goblin |
Birthplace | Paliano, Fiora |
Grenzo is a scheming goblin in the High City of Paliano on the plane of Fiora. Grenzo has a huge frame for a goblin, but always walks hunched over and clutching a staff.
Grenzo used to be the dungeon warden of Palliano. He had created a network of power through his knowledge of the elaborate labyrinth of sewers and drains that riddle the city of Paliano. He has a key to every lock, a blade for every job and not a shred of scruples to go with either.[1] Grenzo's agents swarm the sewers and crawl through the night — mercenary killers and spies, dispatching problems and watching for opportunities to blackmail.
After the elf Selvala killed king Brago, Grenzo released her from the dungeons in a bid to kill the artificer Muzzio. His plan to rid Paliano from Muzzio's artifact creatures backfired when Selvala released the constructs in his tunnels.[1]
When Marchesa became queen, she fired Grenzo as dungeon keeper. Put out on the street, he became the leader of a thieving gang of goblins and often incites mobs to violence.[2] He found an ally in the planeswalker Daretti, who was targetting former collegues of the Academy for revenge.[3]
