Retcon

Should the most current version of her story be called the "alternate version", since it's clearly the one that Wizards intends to use going forward? Yeah, it's a retcon. But as of the current story, it's actually what happened. It should be presented with as the main thrust of the article with a note about the retcon and her previous past. --70.91.82.129 20:56, 26 August 2015 (UTC)

I concur. Information that is no longer valid, for any reason, should not be included within the core of the article except where appropriate to note that a change has occurred. The details of that change should be a separate section, subheading, sub-bullet, or footnote, as appropriate to the article. --Corveroth (talk) 21:54, 26 August 2015 (UTC)
For the wiki it is important that there is a prerevisionist version. As long no information is lost, I don't mind another lay out. --Hunter (talk) 07:12, 27 August 2015 (UTC)

Spark

It was confirmed in the last chapter of March of the Machines and in Aftermath she does not have her spark

Description

I don't think it's correct to characterize Nissa's magic as primarily devoted to "muster elves and elementals and amplify their might". Her primary thing is being a "leyline whisperer", being able to speak with the planes and wake up natural features (if not entire worlds) to fight for her (it's sort of Magic's Swamp Thing). She should be referred to with the title most used for her, which is "animist". Her relationship with elves is also extremely minor and only mechanically expressed in her very first (and partially retconned) card and in the latest creature version. It's very misleading to see Nissa as a character who cares about elves. Her defining personality trait has been so far her being socially awkward and sometimes shunned. She's not a leader of people, she's at ease only with elementals and nature. Kumagoro42 (talk) 13:24, 11 June 2023 (UTC)
