Ob Nix reminder text

Ob Nix's card has reminder text that says "power X" instead of "power X or greater". The latter phrasing is the only one defined in the Comprehensive Rules. The former seems to be omitting the technically-still-applicable "or greater" part of the definition on the assumption that larger X is always better anyway. But in very niche cases, you might want to choose a smaller value of X, for instance if you're playing around a Crafty Cutpurse or need to limit the power of your Bioessence Hydra for some reason. The rulings don't directly address choosing a lower value of X than the power of the creature you sacrifice, and the reminder text for Ob Nix says no, but I read the actual rules as saying yes (and I believe a ruling on the matter would confirm it were it ever relevant).

I'm never sure whether we should include this kind of "original research". It's certainly trivial, but possibly of interest to rules nerds like myself. - jerodast (talk) 20:33, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
