Under obsolete terms: "This language became illogical"

No. It did not. The rule about tapped artifacts was arbitrary, but not illogical. That's how rules work. In fact, never would a rule be said to be illogical. There's unnecessary, redundant, contradictory, confusing, etc. Those adjectives can all be used to describe negative aspects of a rule and why it might be changed. If there's an actual reason why the artifact rule was changed that is known to the general public, it is not in this section of the wiki.
