Urza's Legacy features four distinctive preconstructed theme decks, each built around a specific two-color combination and designed to showcase different playstyles and strategic concepts. Each deck includes a selection of creatures, spells, and lands, accompanied by a booklet providing deck lists and strategic guidance. In addition to the base decks, Wizards of the Coast suggested enhanced versions intended for players looking to upgrade their decks for a more competitive Standard environment, though the additional cards for these enhancements were not supplied. The decks — Crusher, Phyrexian Assault, Radiant's Revenge, and Time Drain — offer a range of archetypes from aggressive creature swarms to control-oriented spell combinations, making them both accessible for new players and interesting for experienced collectors seeking thematic variety.[1][1]

Crusher

Crusher is an aggro green/white theme deck.

“  Before Urza can complete the Legacy and build the famed ship Weatherlight, the planeswalker must overcome some large obstacles: hulking worms and treefolk. They're big, they're bad, and they're worth the wait. Once you bring them out, "Crusher" is bound to leave your opponents hurting.[1]  ”

The rares in this deck are Defense of the Heart and Weatherseed Treefolk.

“  The enhanced version of this deck is a variant of the classic big creature/Armageddon deck that’s been popular over the years. The idea is to use mana-producing creatures to get out a large creature, then play Armageddon so your opponent will be helpless to recover. [2]  ”

Phyrexian Assault

Phyrexian Assault is a black/red theme deck.

“  While Urza builds his Legacy and the famed ship Weatherlight, the planeswalker must defend against an onslaught of foul beasts. "Phyrexian Assault" gives you an unending barrage of creatures and creature removal cards that can quickly break down even the most formidable defense.[1]  ”

The rares in this deck are Molten Hydra and Phyrexian Plaguelord.

“  “Phyrexian Assault” needs focus to become a tournament level deck. The basic deck provides the general concept of creatures and removal but doesn’t flesh out that concept into a truly competitive deck. Removing spells and creatures that don’t directly relate to the aggressive beatdown goal is the first step to making this deck better. [3]  ”

Radiant's Revenge

Radiant's Revenge is a white/blue theme deck.

“  Before Urza can complete the famed ship Weatherlight, the planeswalker must face the new ruler of Serra's realm, an archangel hell-bent on revenge. "Radiant's Revenge" is a time bomb that explodes with artifact and opportunity spells.[1]  ”
Radiant's Revenge

The rares in this deck are Ring of Gix and Urza's Blueprints.

“  The enhanced deck is a nearly creatureless blue white control deck – a type very common in the early days of Magic and still viable today. The blue part of the deck controls what spells the opponent successfully casts, and white spells remove permanents that make it to the table. [4]  ”

Time Drain

Time Drain is a green/blue theme deck with a "free spells" theme.

“  As Urza builds his Legacy by completing the famed ship Weatherlight, an unlikely band of faeries aids him. Use legions of free creatures and cycling cards in "Time Drain" to crush your opponents before they have a chance to prepare for battle. Make sure time is on your side.[1]  ”

The rares in this deck are Anthroplasm and Archivist.

“  The enhanced deck still contains a number of “free” spells, as well as cards with cycling. However, the enhanced deck benefits from two cards: Armageddon and Tradewind Rider. [5]  ”
