Matt Smith

Matthew "Matt" Smith is a former Fraud Analyst and Game Designer at Wizards of the Coast.[1]

Smith joined the company as a fraud analyst in May 2012. He worked on several digital games and platforms including Magic Online, MTG Arena, and D&D Insider. In this role, he built and administrated databases, established fraud prevention strategies, investigated and reported on user behavior, and resolved fraud incidents with users. From time to time he was invited by Magic R&D to participate in set design teams.

Smith participated in the design of the original Transformers TCG published by Wizards of the Coast in 2018[2], and was also involved in the 2022 Transformers Magic: The Gathering set.

He left the company in May 2022, to become a full-time narrative designer at InterPop Inc.
